Firefly + New Pattern Launch

I initially cast on for Firely in April 2018. I too, cannot believe I’ve taken so long to finish it. Because I started it so long ago, I can’t exactly tell you where the inspiration came from but there’s another design coming up next week that shares the same stitch pattern. This is my favorite lace stitch. It’s a simple two row repeat but it looks so delicate and intricate but it’s a really easy way to showcase your knitting prowess. I’m also a fan of easy to make shawls that don’t require overly detailed instructions. Firefly is the perfect marriage between the stitch and easy construction.

Empire + Knit Picks

Last fall I submitted my design idea to Knit Picks for their Form & Function booklet, a pattern collection that was going to focus on the Gansey pullover but with a fun and modern take. The designs in this collection feature beautifully textured pullovers with textured stitches and cables, from pullovers to easy accessories.

Aleutian + Knit Now Issue 103

This summer I had the opportunity to knit a summer pullover for Knit Now’s Issue 103, which launched in June. The design concept was simple: a cropped boxy pullover with a fun deep v-back to pair with all your summer skirts and dresses. Knit in Rowan’s Summerlite 4ply this pullover is just as easy to wear as it is to knit.
