The Silver Cloud pullover is worked in Woolfolk’s Tynd, which is a fabulous fiber to work with. It is incredibly soft and showcases both lace and textured stitches extremely well. I will certainly be knitting with it again. The sweater features a simple drop shoulder construction to make knitting the back lace piece as easy as possible. The arrowhead lace pattern is easy to remember and knits up fairly quickly, even though it’s knit with size 2 US needles.
The front is knit entirely in stockinette stitch with neat trims in a twisted rib. I chose this light grey color but it would look just as special in your favorite color.
I took the sweater for a spin around downtown Portland and it was the perfect cozy layer for brunch, a trip to Stumptown Coffee, and a quick visit to Knit-Purl. The merino fiber is incredibly warm without being overly heavy and I could picture myself in another Tynd sweater featuring a generous cowl neck - I wish I could wear this sweater every day it is THAT good.
Portland was a great city to visit, especially as someone who craves the cooler weather.
I can’t wait to see your versions of Silver Cloud!
