Sencillo + New Pattern Launch
Sencillo is the spanish word for simple, which is an apt name for this design as every decision I made with the design aimed at keeping this as simple as possible. The easy fit and construction make it easy to knit and easy to wear. All levels of knitters are welcome!
Sencillo is knit in 4 separate pieces and seamed after each piece has been knit and blocked. The back and front are both worked from the bottom up with a garter stitch border which will later trim the split side seam. The front features an easy v-neck for casual everyday wear. The sleeves are worked from cuff to upper arm and are later seamed into the dropped shoulders.
Knit Picks Cotlin, is a cotton & linen blend that is perfect for all of your summer knits. The cotton keeps the yarn light and smooth while the linen prevents too much stretching in your finished garment. CotLin is a durable and wearable yarn that is long lasting but does not sacrifice on next to the skin softness. And the more you wear it, the softer it gets. I knit Sencillo in Swan, the perfect summer white, but it would look just as good in Linen, Conch, or Sagebrush.
