The Semilla pullover is a basic seed stitch pullover with easy eyelet accents evenly spaced throughout the body. The eyelet accents are also added as a decorative detail on the sleeve cuffs. The seed stitch is rhythmic to work and the eyelets create a fun break in the knitting. With an attractive boat neck and an easy fit throughout, Semilla can be worn alone or easily layered. This is a great pullover for adventurous beginner knitters that want a challenge. or seasoned pros who want something a little mindless. The seed stitch is fun to work and the eyelets create a special detail to a basic pullover.

Semilla is worked in pieces from the bottom up with no waist shaping. Sleeves are worked from the bottom up with sleeve shaping and set-in sleeve caps. Once all pieces have been knit and blocked they are seamed together. Stitches are picked up evenly around the neckband and worked in the round.

Semilla is knit with Brooklyn Tweed Loft in the Snowbound colorway. Loft is a lovely woolen-spun yarn that feels incredibly light and gentle. Since it is so gentle, it’s highly recommended that you seam using a sock-weight yarn in a similar color. While I knit the sample in Snowbound, it would look just as lovely in Blanket Fort, Fossil, or Nest (left to right).
