This design marks somewhat of a first for me - it's my first self-published shawl design and it took a long time to figure out how to best write up the pattern. But it was definitely worth the effort, and I'm so excited to finally share it with you all.
The design is simple - an asymmetrical triangle starting from one corner to the other, with neat columns of lace for the right modern touch. The garter stitch body makes it a great portable knit, and the lace pattern is easy to memorize. Linea was designed to be a no-frills shawl that is great for everyday wear and is easy to make.
The shawl design calls for two skeins of Purl Soho's Linen Quill, making this a super-affordable $32 knit! Choose from one of their new 17 shades to create the shawl that your closet needs (it will be harder to choose which colors not to buy, trust me).
The sample was photographed in their color Lavender Opal, a gentle blend of lavender & grey. Other colors that I have my eye on are Peony Pink, Crocus Bud, and Mountain Bluebird. The yarn itself is a great blend of linen & wool, making it a perfect transitional piece between seasons.
I really hope that you love this design as much as I do, please use #kkdlineashawl so I can follow your knits on Instagram!
