A Color Shift
Those of you that know me well are aware of my obsession with light colored yarns - grey, light blue, creamy whites and gentle pinks. Since I tend to design with simple silhouettes and easy lace patterns, the softer colors help the design details stand out a little bit more. Selfishly, they are also the colors I like to wear so I tend to add more of them to my stash.
But once in awhile a girl has got to change it up and choose a more adventurous color. So I took the leap and dipped my toe in this beautiful coral yarn from Kelbourne Woolens. In the past when I have chosen “colors” I would gravitate toward dark red, burnt orange, or moss green. Admittedly choosing coral was a bold move but I’m so happy I went for it. I know that whatever I make with this yarn will be incredibly special.
